I don't quite agree with your saying, not all parents are able to fork out hundred millions just to buy a big houses for theirs kids, there are few but not many. If i can afford a reasonable property like an apartment for my child is good enough, so when time come he does not need to wait and try his luck to get an hdb to start his own life, and he want to stay with us , the property can turn to an passive income to help him too.
