1. Parkwood Collection

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Hougang MRT (nine-minute walk)

Technically, Parkwood Collection is not a condo; it’s a development comprising strata-landed houses. But we include it in this list as it comes with condo-like facilities like swimming pools, BBQ pits and a gym.

And despite being located in a landed estate, it’s within walking distance to public transport such as Hougang MRT and Hougang Central Bus Interchange, which are next to Hougang Mall.

2. Kovan Jewel

TOP: TBC

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Kovan MRT (seven-minute walk)

Kovan Jewel is one of the new launches that’s expected to launch in the first half of 2022.

It’s also another development in the north-east that’s within walking distance to the MRT and the mall. For instance, Heartland Mall is just a 10-minute walk from this freehold condo.

Aside from that, we like that it’s within walking distance to the eateries along Upper Serangoon Road and Simon Road, where you can head down for supper.

3. Myra

TOP: 2024

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Potong Pasir MRT (two-minute walk)

Myra is the condo that’s closest to the MRT on this list, with Potong Pasir MRT and The Poiz Centre just a stone’s throw away. In fact, the MRT and mall are just across the road. So this is the closest you can get to enjoy what it’s like to live in an integrated development, without actually living in one.

And for those with sons, here’s another reason why you might want to consider this condo: it’s just a five-minute walk to St Andrew’s Junior School and St Andrew’s Secondary School.

4. Lavender Residence

TOP: 2023

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Boon Keng MRT (six-minute walk)

Lavender Residence is one of the condos on this list that’s located in the Boon Keng area. Given the city-fringe location, you’ll just be three stops away from Dhoby Ghaut MRT and five stops from the CBD.

And if you’re looking for something closer to home, the good news is that the development is within walking distance of Jalan Besar, where you can find various cafes and local eateries. Perfect for foodies!

5. 1953

TOP: 2023

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Boon Keng MRT (seven-minute walk)

Oxley 1953

For most of us, owning a shophouse is something we can only dream of. So having a unit in 1953 may be the next best alternative. The development comprises mixed-use conserved shophouses and a residential block, so owning a unit here essentially means that you get to own a piece of the shophouse as well.

Location wise, besides being within walking distance to the MRT, there’s City Square Mall, as well as plenty of eateries and cafes along Rangoon Road nearby.

6. Piccadilly Grand

TOP: TBC

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Farrer Park MRT (five-minute walk)

Piccadilly Grand occupies the Northumberland Road GLS site, whose tender closed last year with 10 bids as developers were looking to replenish their land bank.

We wrote about it back when it was launched for tender in late 2020, about how there’s potentially no windows that face the south-west given that it’s within the line of sight of the Istana.

Nevertheless, the main highlight of the condo is its city-fringe location. So you’ll just be four to six stops away from the CBD. What’s more, you can find various amenities within walking distance, such as City Square Mall, Mustafa Centre and Farrer Park Hospital.

7. J8 Suite

TOP: TBC

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Farrer Park MRT (six-minute walk)

If living close to eateries is a must (or more specifically, bak kut teh stalls), there’s J8 Suite to consider, which is a low-rise development along Rangoon Road. A quick search on Google Maps reveals five bak kut teh stalls within a five-minute walk!

On the days when you don’t feel like eating bak kut teh, you can always head to Pek Kio Market and Food Centre that’s just five minutes away on foot.

8. CanningHill Piers

TOP: 2026

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Clarke Quay MRT (eight-minute walk)

Canninghill Piers

CanningHIll Piers has direct access to Fort Canning MRT on the Downtown Line. But it’s also within walking distance to Clarke Quay MRT on the North-East Line, so you’ll have one more line to rely on.

Notably, this condo made headlines last year when it sold 77% of its units during the launch weekend, becoming the best selling new launch project in the Central Area last year.

Located along Singapore River on the former site of Liang Court, the condo is integrated with a retail podium, a serviced residence and a hotel.

9. Sky Everton

TOP: 2023

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Outram Park MRT (seven-minute walk)

The main highlight of Sky Everton is that it’s just a short bus ride away from the CBD. So it’s ideal for those working in the CBD. Plus, there are several food options nearby in Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown that you can head to after work.

There’s also SGH Campus just a five-minute drive away. Not only does it house Singapore General Hospital, but also other medical facilities such as National Heart Centre and National Cancer Centre.

10. The Reef At King’s Dock

TOP: 2025

Nearest North-East Line (NEL) station: Harbourfront MRT (eight-minute walk)

Want a home with a seaview? Then The Reef At King’s Dock is one of the condos to consider. As its name suggests, it is located on a former dock.

The condo is also within walking distance to HarbourFront Centre and VivoCity – very convenient if you want to have a quick getaway, whether it’s to Sentosa, Bintan or Batam.

Closer to home, there’s Mount Faber and the Southern Ridges nearby, as well as the upcoming attractions in the Greater Southern Waterfront.
