Dear Grand Dunman, from the moment my family and I stepped into your showflat, we knew you weren’t just another run-of-the-mill condo development. 

Our friends first started bringing you up when you were just a newly launched mega-development in District 15. They told us that you had sold 550 of 1,008 units at an average price of $2,500 per sq ft (PSF) over your launch weekend in November 2024.

They sold us on your strategic location, modern architectural design, and luxurious amenities. And we had to find out more about you, Grand Dunman.

We did some internet sleuthing and were impressed by what we found. You see, my family and I have been searching. Not just for square footage, but for a place that grows with us. Somewhere we can drop the kids off at school without a mad morning rush. Where my elderly parents, husband, and I can enjoy evening strolls along the Park Connector or grab a meal with friends at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre’s endless food options.

We love how the kids have the option of attending many reputable schools in the neighbourhood. There’s Kong Hwa School (1km from the property and the closest to Grand Dunman) and there’s Haig Girls’ School and Tanjong Katong Primary School, which are a five-minute drive away.

A sunset stroll by the sea is also an option. Grand Dunman is just a 10-minute drive or 15-minute cycle from East Coast Park. Many active weekends can be spent cycling, rollerblading, or engaging in various water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, and wakeboarding. 

We can talk about the future too. The upcoming Long Island project will see 800ha of reclaimed land built along the current East Coast shoreline and provide recreational upgrades. Aside from an enclosed freshwater reservoir, there will be 20km of new coastal and reservoir parks to enjoy.

And because of your excellent city fringe location, it’s sometimes even faster to get to the city centre via public transport. But getting around the island is easy for drivers, thanks to the nearby Nicoll Highway, Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP).

You allow us to be not too far from the city’s pulse and all the conveniences it offers, yet not so close that you forget what it’s like to enjoy the comfort of quiet. I had to meet you because I wondered if we were a match that was too good to be true. 

So I made an online appointment via the Grand Dunman website to visit the showroom located at 1039 Eunos Avenue 3.

I have to admit, I don’t usually fall this fast for a property. I’ve walked through dozens of beautifully staged showrooms and nodded politely when the accompanying property agents went on about “south-facing windows” and “efficient dumbbell layouts.”

Your large units with spacious and efficient layouts are thoughtfully planned and cater to families, couples, and multi-generational households. Plus, there is a 1:1 carpark-lot-to-unit ratio, so finding a parking space is never an issue.

Most importantly, Grand Dunman, you felt like home.
