SPECIAL ADVERTISING FEATURE: Developed by MCC Land, Provence Residence is a 413-unit EC that offers French-inspired living in the heart of Canberra.

Words Michelle Yee

If you have always dreamed of living in charming Provence, this is your chance to own an apartment that will allow you to experience a slice of the French countryside right in the heart of Canberra. Developed by MCC Land, the 413-unit residential development has been designed and styled to offer residents with modern French-inspired living, featuring a variety of terraced courts and gardens that are inspired by the Jardin d’eau (water garden) and Sanctuaire du Jardin (Garden Sanctuary) in France.

A development unlike any other in Singapore, the landscape is one of the main highlights here, boasting soothing water features, intimate courtyards and promenades that have been organised into two main zones: the Royal French Court and Countryside Gardens. This layout offers plenty of intimate and private outdoor spaces for residents to unwind and bond with their loved ones.

ELEGANT, FRENCH-INSPIRED GROUND COUPLED WITH A HOST OF FACILITIES

Situated in the heart of the development, the Royal French Court, which is dotted with geometrical and symmetrical landscapes bordered by hedges at different levels, offers residents with an array of recreational facilities including a family pool, a gym, function rooms, and event spaces that residents can use to gather and hold celebrations or small events. The Countryside Gardens, too, is equally impressive, featuring semi-private gardens filled with different types of plants and flowers, allowing residents to take nice leisurely strolls after a long day at work. This area is also home to a host of health and fitness facilities as well as outdoor dining facilities like the BBQ pavilion, Alfresco dining area, and more.

LIVE SMART

Comprising a good mix of three- and four-bedroom apartments units ranging from 883 sq ft to 1,399 sq ft, each features a spacious and well-designed layout, and is ideal for young couples looking to expand their family and even multi-generational living. Each unit is outfitted with a host of quality fittings and appliances, allowing residents to live luxuriously and comfortably. The developer has also designed the units with smart living in mind, equipping each unit with a smart home system that will allow residents to control and automate their appliances for utmost convenience.

ENJOY GOOD CONNECTIVITY AND A SLEW OF MODERN AMENITIES AT YOUR DOORSTEP

With Canberra MRT station located just a short seven-minute walk away from Provence Residence, getting to the other parts of the island will be a breeze. For residents who drive, the upcoming North-South Expressway (NSE) – Singapore’s 11th expressway – will significantly reduce travelling time to and from the city. Once complete, the NSE will connect the city centre with towns along the North-South Corridor – Woodlands, Sembawang, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and Toa Payoh.

Another highlight is the Sembawang and Yishun intra-town cycling network, which will be expanded and upgraded in the near future to better support and encourage a smarter, more sustainable mode of transport.

For shopping, dining and entertainment pursuits, there are plenty of options such as Sembawang Shopping Centre, Sun Plaza Shopping Mall, Chong Pang City, and Northpoint City.

Families with school-going children will also appreciate the convenience of the location, with a handful of reputable educational institutions including Sembawang Primary School, Wellington Primary School, Chongfu Primary School, Canberra Primary School, Ahmad Ibrahim Primary School, and Xishan Primary, located less than a three-kilometre walk away.

SEMBAWANG SET FOR MORE GROWTH

The allure of Sembawang is enhanced by its proximity to nearby industrial clusters such as Woodlands Regional Centre, Seletar Regional Centre, Punggol Creative Cluster and Learning Corridor, and the upcoming Seletar Aerospace Park.

Envisioned to be a world-class dedicated aerospace regional facility, the Seletar Aerospace Park is expected to create about 10,000 jobs upon its projected completion later this year, while the Woodlands Regional Centre, which is part of a larger commercial belt called the North Coast Innovation Corridor, will house the first business park cluster in Singapore’s northern area.

The North Coast Innovation Corridor is expected to spawn a new generation of modern factories and innovation centres that will stretch from Woodlands Regional Centre, with more than 700,000 sqm of modern commercial space and more than 100ha of developable land. This will stretch to the Gambas area, and continue towards the east to Yishun, past the upper Seletar Reservoir, into the Seletar Aerospace Hub, and will continue towards the east to join the Punggol Creative Cluster and Learning Corridor.

That is not all, as the government has announced that Sembcorp Marine will be relocating all its Singapore shipyards to Tuas as such, a huge plot of waterfront land will be freed up along the Sembawang coastline, which will be redeveloped – possibly for both commercial and residential purposes – to be a part of the North Coast Innovation Corridor.
