Three new members to join Council for Estate Agencies (CEA)

Chief Executive Officer and Key Executive Officer of Edmund Tie & Company (SEA), Ong Choon Fah.

The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) will have three new council members from 22 October, said the Ministry of National Development (MND) and CEA in a joint release on Wednesday (21 October).

The three new appointed members are Lok Vi Ming, Senior Counsel and Managing Director of LVM Law Chambers; Ong Choon Fah, Chief Executive Officer and Key Executive Officer of Edmund Tie & Company (SEA); and Thomas Tan, President of Singapore Estate Agents Association and Chief Learning Officer of Life Mastery Academy.

Quek See Tiat, who served as the Council’s President, was re-appointed together with nine other members.

The nine re-appointed members include CEA Executive Director Lim Chee Hwee; Housing and Development Board Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Estate) Mike Chan Hein Wah; Consumers Association of Singapore Executive Director Loy York Jiun; Nan Guan Construction Managing Director Mohamed Abdul Akbar Bin Mohamed Abdul Kader and Raffles Campus Group Executive Chairman Ng Boon Yew.

Completing the re-appointed members are PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner (Singapore) and International Team Leader (Global Assurance Quality – Inspections Group) Deborah Ong; Urban Redevelopment Authority Group Director (Land Sales & Administration) and Group Director (Corporate Resources) Sin Lye Chong; National Research Foundation Executive Director for Policy & Planning Tan Pei Shan and PropertyGuru Group Country Manager – Singapore Tan Tee Khoon.

Meanwhile, OrangeTee & Tie Executive Director and Key Executive Officer Michael Tan stepped down from his post following the end of his term on 21 October.

“With these appointment changes, the CEA Council will have 13 members, including Mr Quek See Tiat. All appointments are for a two-year term until 21 October 2022,” said the release.
