1. HDB Bishan View

Bishan View is an HDB estate on Bishan Street 12 built in 1985. Due to its proximity to elite schools, it is likely to enjoy high demand from families with school-going children, with Raffles Institution just 12 minutes’ walk away and Raffles Girls’ School 21 minutes’ walk away,

Bishan MRT, which is an interchange for the North South and Circle Lines, is located about seven minutes away by foot and connects directly to Raffles Place MRT in 21 minutes (no line changes needed). It is also just five stops away from Orchard MRT, offering easy access to the famous shopping belt.

2. HDB Shunfu Gardens

Located at Shunfu Road in the Upper Thomson area, Shunfu Gardens, built in 1985, is another housing project for ambitious parents who harbour elite school dreams for their children, with Raffles Institution and Raffles Girls’ School located several kilometres away.

Marymount MRT on the Circle Line is just seven minutes’ walk away and is just two stops from Botanic Gardens and the Downtown Line, which offer access to elite schools like Hwa Chong Institution and Singapore Chinese Girls’ School. This enables students to easily take public transport to school rather than relying on their parents to drive them.

3. HDB Bukit Batok

Bukit Batok is one of the greenest HDB estates in Singapore, thanks to scenic spots like Little Guilin and Bukit Batok Nature Park. Two new parks are in the works—Bukit Batok Hillside Nature Park and Bukit Batok Central Nature Park are currently under construction, with the former slated to open in 2024.

This HDB project located at Bishan Street 13 was built in 1987. Just six minutes’ walk from Bishan MRT, it enjoys similar advantages as Bishan View, which appears earlier on this list. With elite schools like Raffles Institution and Raffles Girls’ School located just 15 minutes’ and 23 minutes’ away by foot respectively, it is likely to be a hit with ambitious parents.

Bishan MRT itself is extremely well-connected, being on both the North South and Circle Lines, and connecting to Raffles Place and Orchard in 21 and 12 minutes respectively.

5. HDB Sin Ming Court

Sin Ming Court is located on Bright Hill Drive in the Bishan area. Upper Thomson MRT station, which is expected to open very soon, is located just 8 minutes away from the 1990 property.

The Thomson-East Coast Line, which is currently under development, will link Upper Thomson MRT to northern, central, and eastern Singapore, with the portion linking Upper Thomson to Maxwell, Shenton Way, and Marina Bay in the CBD expected to be completed in 2022.

Garden Hill is an HDB project located on Bedok North Avenue 1. Built around 1978, it is located just five minutes’ walk from Bedok MRT and three minutes from the area’s main shopping centre, Bedok Mall. It is also located just across the street from DjitSun Mall Bedok, which has a Golden Village cinema.

Bedok MRT connects directly to Raffles Place in 22 minutes via the East West Line, and in 10 minutes to Changi Airport MRT. This makes Garden Hill a convenient place to live for those who work in both the CBD and the Changi area.

Natura Loft, a 2011 project, is ideal for sport and nature lovers thanks to its location on Bishan Street 24, just eight minutes’ walk from Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. It is also within walking distance of Bishan Sports Hall and Bishan ActiveSG Stadium. Bishan MRT is 13 minutes’ walk away.

Kaki Bukit Green, a 1979 HDB housing project, is located in the Bedok area about 19 minutes’ walk from Bedok MRT on the North South Line and 22 minutes’ walk from Bedok Reservoir MRT on the Downtown Line.
