No, your landlord won’t be able to increase your rent since it’s not stated in the contract. He also doesn’t have the right to evict you if you don’t agree to the rate increase, unless it’s stated in the contract. You may want to reach out to the property agent who handled the rental transaction to mediate the dispute.
