Are we seeing green shoots emerging?
Sales of private units were up in 2016 and the number of unsold units has been falling. For 2017, private home prices will continue to fall, albeit at a slower pace. The number of unsold units will decline further, especially in the prime segment of the market. Eager home buyers waiting on the sidelines will see this as a sign that it may be a good time to enter the market.
